Refugee Week 2024 Bradford Schools’ Art Exhibition: Our Home

Every year, we exhibit art work from schools across the Bradford District on Refugee Week’s chosen theme. This year the theme is ‘Our home’ (see here for more about the theme).

We’d like to invite you to get involved!

What: Students can create their art work using any medium (e.g. paint, pencils, pastels, crayons, collage) on A3 card/mounted on A3 card on the theme of ‘Our Home’. You could use the Bradford Teaching Resource Pack for ideas on refugee stories/migration for inspiration or any resources on our website.

Please submit no more than 15 pieces; even 4-5 pieces is fine! The work will be collected from you on Monday 10th June.

Where: This year we are hosting the exhibition in libraries across the Bradford District (Bradford Library services are currently working towards the Sanctuary Award). With this year’s theme being ‘Our Home,’ we feel it makes the artwork accessible for pupils and their families to engage with as well as the local community. An exhibition trail of the libraries which will be displaying the work will be available closer to the time.

Alternatively, if you’d like to create a display in your school you can also do that and send us some photos!
